• How to choose the perfect colour?

 

To select the perfect colour match, focus on the colour of your own hair at the mid-lengths and especially on the ends rather than the roots, for a seamless blend.

Additionally, understanding your hair's undertones—warm, cool, or neutral—can help guide your decision. Examine your hair in natural light, such as near a window or outdoors: warm undertones show yellow, gold, or red hues, cool undertones display blue or green, and neutral undertones fall in between.

All our extensions feature slightly darker roots for a natural finish, and our website provides detailed colour descriptions, including undertones, to help you choose.

• How to choose the perfect length?

The perfect length depends on your current hair length and your desired result: 
For the most natural result, we recommend choosing extensions that match or are just slightly longer than your existing hair. This allows for a flawless blend and a more authentic appearance. 
For a natural and healthy appearence:
Choose a length similar to your current hair length, adding no more than 2 centimetres for a subtle enhancement and fullness.
For added length:

Opt for extensions 5 to 7 centimetres longer than your natural hair for a balanced and natural-looking increase in length.
TIP: Use a measuring tape to determine the distance between the top of your ear (helix) and the ends of your hair to help you select the most suitable length.
 

Blending Recommendations:

If your hair has slightly straight ends, it may be beneficial to add light layers with the help of a stylist for a smoother blend. If your extensions are over 10 cm longer than your natural hair or if you have medium-density hair, a seamless cut by a professional ensures a polished, natural finish.

 

• Do Halo® MustHang extensions blend well with natural hair?

 

Halo® hair extensions are designed to blend seamlessly with your natural hair. For the best results, we recommend matching the extensions to the mid-lengths and ends of your hair rather than the roots. If your hair has a blunt, straight cut, achieving a natural blend may be more challenging.

Halo® MustHang extensions are best suited for women with below bust-length hair, a thin to medium density, and a straight to slightly wavy texture. They are not recommended for those with very short hair or blunt, straight-cut ends, as these may require additional wefts or hair to achieve a seamless look.

For the best fit, the wire should rest gently and securely around the crown of your head, lightly touching your scalp without shifting, even when you move or shake your head.

 

• Will the extension stay secure on the head?

Yes! The transparent wire evenly distributes the weight of the extensions, ensuring they stay securely in place. Additionally, the weight of your natural hair over the extensions helps keep them steady.

Rest assured, you can move freely without worrying about the extensions coming loose.

If you prefer, you can choose to use the clips, and the extension will stay even more secure. The clips are optional and, when used, do not bear the weight of the extensions. They are not the primary fixation system. Instead, the extensions are supported by a transparent wire that evenly distributes the weight across the upper crown, from ear to ear. This ensures no specific area is overloaded, preserving the integrity of your hair and scalp.

 

•  Is the wire noticeable?

No. The wire that holds the Halo® MustHang extension is an ultra-thin transparent wire made of nylon, specifically designed to be as discreet as possible on your scalp. It blends seamlessly with your natural hair and is only noticeable upon very close inspection.

 

•  Does the wire hurt?

No, the wire does not hurt at all. It has been carefully designed and tested on scalps with normal to medium sensitivity. When properly placed, it feels as comfortable as wearing a hat. Our hair pieces are designed to be confortable and painless. 

 

• What should be done if there is discomfort while wearing the extensions?

If discomfort is felt, we recommend resizing the wire by adjusting its length or tightening the clips to ensure a more secure fit. Ensuring that the wire is not too tight and that the extensions are placed securely but comfortably will help alleviate any discomfort

• Can BEHTA LISBON Extensions cause hair loss or alopecia?

No! Our hair pieces are designed to avoid causing any damage to your natural hair, unlike other types of extensions.

Hair typically grows in cycles, with follicles producing strands that grow for several years before shedding, making way for new hair. However, when a follicle is damaged, it shrinks and produces finer hair. These affected follicles shed hair more quickly and grow new hair more slowly, disrupting the natural hair cycle and potentially leading to hair loss.

Our extensions are carefully crafted to ensure they don’t interfere with this natural cycle, preserving the health and integrity of your hair follicles.

If you are experiencing significant hair loss or thinning, we recommend consulting with a trichologist.

 

•  Are there any contraindications for using these Halo® extensions?

Although Halo® MustHang extensions are a temporary and non-invasive solution, it is important to consider the following contraindications:

• Women with allergies or hypersensitivity to nylon;
• Women with an inflamed or damaged scalp;
• Women with severe scalp oiliness (such as in certain scalp conditions);
• Women with very curly or coiled hair (the extensions have a slight wave to straight texture);

STEP BY STEP 

1: BRUSH YOUR HAIR 
 
Brush your hair thoroughly to get rid of tangles. Then, brush out your Halo® hair extension gently using a wide-toothed comb or paddle brush. 

 

2: SECTION OFF YOUR HAIR 
 
Section off your hair at the crown, tying it into a bun at the top of your head with the help of our special Comb for Halo® MustHang extensions. Leave out the front sections of hair that frame your face to ensure a natural blend. 

 

3: APPLY YOUR HALO® MUSTHANG EXTENSION 

Choosing the wire length that best fits the size of your head, position your Halo® MustHang extensions extension over your bun where you parted your hair. Like a headband, it should sit comfortably and securely above your ears. 
 

4: ATTACH THE TWO CLIPS THAT CAME WITH YOUR HALO® MUSTHANG EXTENSION  

To feel more secure when moving, we give you the option of attaching 2 barrettes to your own hair. As the weight is evenly distributed across the strand, these barrettes are designed to not damage your scalp or hair. 

 

5: BLEND FOR NATURAL RESULTS 

Take down your bun and brush through your hair to smooth everything out ensuring your real hair is covering all the wefts and the Halo® MustHang extensions. Be extra cautious when brushing over the wire of the halo to avoid snagging. 

 

 

• Is it possible to style & blend Halo® MustHang extensions? 

 

Yes! The extensions are made from 100% human hair, which means they can be styled just like your own hair, using heat tools such as straighteners, curling irons, or blow dryers.

For the best blend, ensure your natural hair is styled to match the texture and volume of the extensions. Depending on the style you wish to achieve, a slight trim or layering of the extensions by a professional can also help to create a seamless and natural look. 

 

• Is it possible to curl or straighten Halo musthang extensions?

Yes! Halo® MustHang extensions can be straightened and curled, blow-dried, just like your own hair.  

However, in order to preserve and extend the life of your extensions, we suggest always using a heat protectant spray before styling your extensions and to only use a low heat setting of 120C/250F, as anything higher risks damage and compromising the lifespan of your Halo® MustHang extensions. 

Our natural hair is constantly being revitalized at the scalp, whereas hair extensions don't receive that sort of constant nutrition. The controlled use of temperature helps not to cause damage to the extension and to your own hair. 

 

• Is it possible to colour the Halo® MustHang extensions? 

 

Yes! You or your stylist may colour as you would in your natural hair.  We recommend testing the colour first with a few strands in a discrete area of the extension. If you don't have experience in colouring, seach for a hair stylist for the desired effect.

Some colorists have found that washing and drying Halo® MustHang extensions prior to coloring helps hair absorb color more efficiently. They also suggest that it is easier to color a Halo® MustHang extension that has a lighter colour to get the expected result. 

 

• The lightest shade  we offer is Very Light Blonde, corresponds to hair colour number 9 on the standard hair colour chart,  which features both warm and cool undertones, providing a versatile base for customisation.

It is not recommended to remove colour from your Halo® MustHang extensions through bleaching or lightening! We can not guarantee a good result, as this could damage the hair extension irreversibly. 

 

•  Is it possible to do ponytails using Halo Musthang extensions?

Yes! Halo® MustHang extensions are suitable for half up half down hairstyles, and low ponytails. 

 

 

• Is it possible to perm Halo® MustHang extensions? 

 

Perming your Halo® MustHang extensions is not recommended, because perms can compromise the integrity of the hair extension.  

Halo® MustHang extensions are made of human hair, but because they are not receiving the same natural nutrients as your natural hair, permanent chemicals may not react well and irreversibly damage your Halo® MustHang extensions. 

 

 

• Is it possible to swim while using Halo® MustHang extensions?

 

We do not recommend swimming with your Halo® MustHang extensions. These extensions are designed to be securely held in place with the help of your existing hair, but submerging your head in water can cause the extensions to float or become displaced, as they are intended to be removable. Additionally, frequent exposure to water, especially chlorinated or saltwater, can compromise the integrity and longevity of the extensions.

Note: Halo® MustHang extensions are made from 100% human hair and can be styled and washed like your natural hair. However, frequent washing and heat styling may shorten their lifespan.

 

 

• Is it possible to do a workout using Halo® MustHang extensions?

   

We recommend removing your Halo® MustHang extensions before engaging in any workout. The durability of the extensions depends on how often they are used and the care they receive.

Halo® MustHang extensions are so simple to remove and put back on, you can remove them and store them before workout to best preserve its stylish and alligned appearance. In addition, depending on the type of exercise, it can also compromise the integrity of the extension. 

 

 

• Is it possible to sleep using Halo® MustHang extensions?

 

While it is possible to sleep using Halo® MustHang extensions, we highly recommend removing them before bedtime.

Sleeping with the extensions can compromise their sleek, aligned appearance, as the movement during sleep may lead to tangling, misalignment, or even damage. By taking them off, you ensure they remain in excellent condition for longer.

Halo® MustHang extensions are quick and simple to remove and reapply, making it effortless to care for them properly while maintaining their quality and style.

 

• How long will Halo® extensions last? 

 

Durability will depend on how often the extension is worn and the care provided to your Halo® MustHang extension.

Crafted from premium virgin human hair, Halo® MustHang extensions are designed to be long-lasting. While no specific durability period can be guaranteed, as hair is a natural product with a limited lifespan, their excellent quality ensures they can retain their beauty and functionality with proper care.

Halo® MustHang extensions can be styled and washed just like your natural hair. However, the more you wash and apply heat to your extensions, the shorter their lifespan will be. We recommend minimising washing and the use of styling products to preserve their quality.

 

 

• Should Halo® MustHang extensions be washed before use? 

 

No. Halo® MustHang extensions undergo a thorough hygiene process to ensure they are safe to wear straight out of the box. Additionally, there is no need to wash them every time you wear them. Simply store them properly when not in use to maintain their quality.

 

• How should Halo® MustHang extensions be stored?

To ensure the longevity of your Halo® MustHang extensions, it’s important to store them correctly. We recommend gently brushing them to remove any tangles, then placing them in a safe, dry area away from direct sunlight and dust.

You can store them in the box they arrived in, as it was designed for that purpose, or use a silk bag to prevent friction and tangling. For best results, avoid storing them in a cramped or damp environment to preserve their shape and texture. Make sure your extensions are completely dry before storing them to prevent mould and bacteria growth.

 

• How to maintain Halo® MustHang extensions in the best condition?

To keep your Halo® MustHang extensions looking their best:

• How to take care of Halo® MustHang extensions? How often should they be washed?

It is very important to establish a good care routine for your Halo® MustHang extensions from the start to help prolong their lifespan.

Halo® MustHang extensions are made from human hair, so they can be styled and washed just like your natural hair. However, the more frequently you wash and apply heat to them, the shorter their lifespan will be. Therefore, try to minimise washing and product usage.

We recommend washing your Halo® MustHang extensions only when there is significant product build-up. For example, if your extensions start to feel more difficult to style, this is likely a sign of product accumulation, and they need to be washed. Alternatively, you can follow this principle: if the use is frequently wash them every 30 wears or approximately once every two months.

Additionally, we recommend keeping your Halo® MustHang extensions away from dust and dirt when not in use. Make sure your extensions are completely dry before storing them to prevent mould and bacteria growth.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

1. Brush your extensions before washing
Start by brushing your extensions while they are dry. Use a wide-tooth comb or a brush designed for extensions to remove any tangles gently.

2. Prepare the washing water
Clean your sink or use a large bowl. Fill it with lukewarm water (avoid hot water to prevent damage).
Add 2–3 dollops of mild shampoo to the water and swirl it until the water is soapy.

3. Wash the extensions carefully
Hold the weft securely at the top with one hand and submerge the extensions into the water.
Gently stroke the hair to work the shampoo through the strands. Avoid scrubbing or twisting to prevent tangling.
For occasional maintenance, consider co-washing (washing with conditioner only) to keep the extensions hydrated.

4. Apply conditioner or hair mask
After washing, gently pat the extensions dry to remove excess water using a towel.
Take a generous amount of deep conditioner or hair mask and apply it from the top to the ends. Massage the product in gently and evenly.
Let the conditioner act for at least 10 minutes. For an intense treatment, bundle the extensions, coil them carefully, and leave them to absorb the conditioner overnight. Rinse thoroughly the next day.

Ensure all conditioner or mask is washed out completely. Residue can weigh the extensions down and make them appear greasy. Rinse with lukewarm water until the hair feels clean and light.
